Day 2

Comparing the Seasons

Tap 🔊 next to any sentence to hear it read aloud.

Each season changes what we wear, eat, and do. In summer we wear light cotton clothes and a hat, drink lots of water, eat watermelon and ice cream, and play in the shade or in the pool.

In the rainy season we wear a raincoat and boots and carry an umbrella. We eat warm soup and hot corn. Farmers plant rice. In the cool season we wear a sweater or jacket in the morning, drink warm milk, and enjoy the sun. Many people go camping in the mountains.

Example: Make a chart with three columns: Summer, Rainy, Cool. Draw a hat under Summer, an umbrella under Rainy, and a sweater under Cool. Add a food for each!
