Water is one of the most important things on earth. We get water from rain, rivers, lakes, ponds, wells, and the sea. Clean water has no colour, no smell, and no taste. Sea water is salty, so we cannot drink it.
We use water for drinking, cooking, bathing, washing clothes and dishes, cleaning the house, and watering plants. Animals drink water. Plants need water to grow. Fish live in water. Farmers need water for their fields. Boats travel on water.
Example: Count with your family: how many times did you use water today? Brushing teeth, drinking, bathing, flushing, washing hands, cooking rice... more than ten times!
